Plant control by PLC

For the automation of bulk solids systems we apply mainly PLC controls based on SIEMENS S7 or equivalent systems.
These control systems supervise the instruments connected to the inputs of the switch cabinet and control - depending on their values and in accordance with the program - the actuators connected to the outputs. The inputs are given by pressure transmitters, temperature detectors, limit switches, rotation detectors etc. The outputs control gear motors and positioning drives.
The control disposes about AND/OR functions, counters, markers and timers; which enable it to operate even time-related.
The application of PLC controls allows to realise both control purposes and also regulating functions.
